Monument record: MCC3015 Human bone fragment, St John's Street, Colchester (Find Spot)In December 2009, the Lost Property Department of Colchester Police Station reported a human bone to Colchester Museum that had been handed in to them from St John's Street. This was subsequently deposited with the museum four days later.

Monument record: MCC3083 Post-Roman topsoil or ‛dark earth’, Sand play Area, Upper Castle Park, Colchester (Element)Five test pits were excavated in the sand play area in 2014-15. In all of the test pits and the other trenches (T1-T5) in the sand play area, thick, dark greyish-brown deposits of post-Roman topsoil or ‘dark earth’ were encountered.

Monument record: MCC3085 Post-Roman topsoil or ‛dark earth’, adjacent to the Ranger Station, Upper Castle Park, Colchester (Element)A Roman layer L14 (not further investigated) was sealed by dark greyish-brown post-Roman topsoil or ‘dark earth’ (L12), which at the south-east corner of the shed was approximately 400-450mm thick. The ‘dark earth’ (L12) was observed in most of the trenches at the Ranger Station, although it was often truncated as a result of later activity.

Monument record: MCC3140 Wormingford Green (Monument)A small, square-shaped green is marked on Chapman and Andre's 1777 map, c.1.5 ha in area, located opposite the location of Jenkins Farm (marked but not labelled on this map). <1> The Farm fronts the east side of the green. The green is not marked on the OS 1:2500 County Series Epoch 1. The approximate position of the green has been digitised as a Monument, from Chapman and Andre's 1777 map. The road between Wormingford Green and Piots Green, to the NW (towards Mount Bures), shown on Chapman and Andre's 1777 map and County Series Epoch 1, was removed by the construction of the later WWI and WWII airfield (MEX1031271).
