Four north/south ditches and one east/west ditch recorded by excavation in 2016, primarily of an early Roman date. Another two north/south ditches were identified by evaluation in 2013 (T3, F19 and T4, F2), although F19 could not be traced by excavation. A number of Roman pits/rubbish pits were excavated, indicative of occupation, with finds from the site forming a moderately wealthy assemblage.

Bronze Age/Middle Iron Age settlement evidence and sparse Neolithic finds were uncovered over the general project area.

Waterlogged Middle Anglo-Saxon causeway, dated to the late 7th or very early 8th century, located during the laying of a new water main at the Strood.

Possible linear features, masked by geological and modern drainage features. The SMR photos also show two ring ditches in this field at about TM 004 292.

A trial-trenched evaluation and small excavation in 2015, in advance of a housing development, defined a small number of late prehistoric (ditches, pits and post-holes), which produced a small assemblage of handmade pottery (incl. three decorated sherds) dated to the Early Iron Age. The excavation also defined a probable Roman ditch (containing a 2nd century AD sherd).

Four adjoining brick warehouses, and adjacent house, on the north (east) side of the River Colne, adjacent to Old Hythe Bridge, dating from the late 19th century.
