Late C19/early C20 formal gardens, mainly laid out by De Zoete.

Possible moated enclosure. The N to S aligned west side (i.e. on the west side of the Hall) of a possible moated enclosure survives, c.45m long (little altered from the first edition OS map).

RCHM ascribes the westernmost window of the north wall of the nave to the C16 or C17.

The building has been restored and partly rebuilt in 'modern' times.

During sand quarrying along the western side of Butt Road in the mid-19th century, part of an extensive late Roman inhumation cemetery was found.

The church was restored in the 19th century.

Roman building (CAT Building 110) was discovered during excavations at Culver Street between 1981-2 and 1984-5.

Historic green shown on the 1777 Chapman & Andre Map, Tithe Map of 1838 and on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Map (1874-1887), although by the latter map the size of the green had significantly decreased.

A fieldwalking survey of 2.44ha. produced 178 finds (3,916g), including 36 struck flints dated from the Neolithic and Bronze Age (with one possible Mesolithic flint), concentrated on the northern edge of the field, and 26 pieces of Roman brick/tile, concentrated on the northern edge of the field and along the eastern side.
